  3. ≤Net-Control alarms:≥
  4. Net-Control gives three possibilities for reacting to
  5. invalid values. For each parameter, to which you can
  6. assign minimum and maximum limiting values, you can choose
  7. between the following possibilities:

  9.  ⌠No alarm⌡:
  10. Even if no alarm is selected, the values are controlled.
  11. Is the value too high, it is marked red and if it is
  12. to low it is marked green on the screen for controlling
  13. the actual data.

  15.  ⌠Simple alarm⌡:
  16. Net-Control gives an additional acoustic alarm tone and
  17. writes one corresponding message with time, reason of
  18. the alarm, limit and actual value to the logfile.

  20.  ⌠Alarm with copy of the hitlists⌡:
  21. The hitlists give a more precise description of the
  22. situation than the stored data. Therefore, in case of
  23. an alarm, these hitlists can be of interest. Usually
  24. these are not stored for a longer time. By choosing this
  25. alarm all actual hitlists are copied and saved with the
  26. alarm message.

  29. ≤Assigning values to alarms:≥
  30. Additionally you can assign to every alarm a value
  31. between 1 and 255. This value can be edited in decimal
  32. or binary. The default value ⌠0⌡ means, that this alarm
  33. has ≤no≥ value assigned to it.

  35. ≤This value can be used in two ways:≥
  36. You can assign these numbers according to the
  37. importance of the alarms: (value 1 - unimportant
  38. to  value 255 - critical alarm). Net-Control writes the
  39. assigned values in the corresponding alarm messages
  40. behind a ⌠°⌡ character.

  42. On the other hand this value is outputted to the
  43. parallel port, if you have choosen the alarm port LPT1
  44. or LPT2 in the configuration menu. By additional
  45. hardware (for example a 8 channel centronics relais-
  46. interface) you have the possibility of special
  47. processing these alarms.
